Overview

IPKeys Technologies (a Chickasaw Nation Industries company) is looking for a Machine Maintenance Mechanic in support of a program for the Naval Air Command, located at NAS Lakehurst, NJ.  This position would be for a mechanic with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, troubleshooting skills that possesses the skills to perform manual and CNC machine repair, installation, and removal. 

 

This is a position with the Prototype and Manufacturing Division (PMD) machine shop at NAVAIR Lakehurst.  The Prototype and Manufacturing Division provides critical hardware to the fleet. We overhaul arresting engines and launch valves and are the sole source of supply for the cables used for aircraft arrestment (i.e., purchase cables and cross deck pendants), we manufacture hardware in response to fleet emergencies, and we manufacture a wide range of support equipment and test this equipment appropriately. We are the sole source of supply and last source of supply for critical hardware that is essential to Navy Fleet operations.

 

PMD produces a large range of machined components from small components approximately one inch in size to large frames and equipment bases that are over 30 feet long.  This particular position would involve the operation of Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and various electric and pneumatic hand tools.

Responsibilities

 

  • The candidate needs to diagnose and repair production machines; e.g. mills, lathes, etc.  The candidate will work with fine, critical dimensions for almost every part. 
  • Candidates must have the patience to make repeated measurements and adjustments when aligning parts. 
  • References documents may include sketches, diagrams, blueprints, written specifications, or oral instructions (i.e. repairs may be made without written instructions). 
  • The candidate must be able to read and interpret drawings. 
  • There will also be a focus on Preventative Maintenance.

Qualifications

  • The candidate must be familiar with precision measuring devices including micrometers, vernier gauges, and various other gauges are used to measure dimensions and verify the proper adjustment of the machine and with the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of machine and equipment mechanical components. 
  • The candidate should have basic computer skills which will enable the ability to update a database which tracks maintenance activities, research parts on the internet, and use MS Office e-mail and other MS Office products.
  • All candidates must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. (more is preferred). 
  • Safety shoes are required on the first day. 
  • Safety glasses will be provided.
