Overview

Responsibilities

The Cloud Security Assessor will conduct security validations and assessments, in support of the FedRAMP and DoD Provisional Authorization (PA) processes and Cloud Services documentation packages.

  • Proficient in information systems security, networking and infrastructure, and technical documentation comprehension.      
  • Assess vulnerabilities and appropriate implementation strategies for use of protocols/services and their associated ports.
  • Support the vulnerability analysis and implementation strategies to provide greater clarity regarding technical procedures, and guidance for services and capabilities development.
  • Develop and refine processes such as requirements analysis, configuration management design, and vulnerability assessment/implementation strategies with an emphasis on the functional characteristics of protocols and application data service, as it relates to the mission of DISA Boundary Protection.
  • Review and comment on CSO’s SSP, SAP, SAR, and POA&M.
  • Review, understand, and document the operational impact that the security authorization, change, and/or vulnerabilities poses to the CSP.
  • Review, evaluate, and provide analysis in order to develop the Cloud Security Assessment Package in accordance with (IAW) the established guidelines.

Qualifications

 

  • Experience with CSO’s SSP, SAP, SAR, and POA&M.
  • Experience with Cloud Security and FedRAMP 
  • Knowledge in Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management.
  • Must be certified in one of the areas as directed by DoD 8570, IAM-III category: : CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO

  • Five years’ related experience
