  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is seeking an Network Administrator to provide technical support services for technical, application, and network activities required by DISA Columbus in support of the Joint Staff initiative PEGASUS and REL DMZ along with Cross Domain Solution services being provided by DISA. Aspects include the computer systems hardware and software (systems and functional application software) deployments and computer systems management to include maintenance, monitoring, systems analysis, incident resolution, problem resolution, and network support. This position is shift work for 24/7 support at DISA Datacenter Columbus, Ohio.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and maintain networks securely IAW DoD and DISA Instructions, Policy and Directives
    • Install, configure, maintain, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Juniper Secure Services Gateway/SRX, bulk encryption devices including a Tactical Local Area Network Encryption
    • Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor
    • Ensure operating environments are properly configured and functioning with specified network and storage components and Government provided tool suites
    • Manage and maintain other network devices/applications including Bluecoat Proxy servers, IronPort Email Security Appliances, Cisco Secure Access Control Systems, Solar winds
    • Assist with the daily operation and maintenance of the entire Coalition Enclave Networks managed by DISA Columbus and all ancillary equipment and software
    • Provide C2 (Command and Control) support for all Coalition Network, to include supporting Coalition Network Operations Center (CNOC), which includes ticket management, reporting of incidents and information sharing
    • Validate functionality subsequent to system or component modification
    • Analyze, monitor, troubleshoot, and diagnose to ensure system optimization, integrity, availability, and functionality are within prescribed timelines according to DoD and DISA Instructions, Policies and Directives
    • Install, configure, administer, and support secure remote access utilities and applications including Secure Web Access, VSphere, and remote desktop protocol
    • Document processes, procedures, and activities required for application administration
    • Interact with service desks, technical staff, and customers to resolve technical problems or provide information
    • Use Government provided ticket management system to document and resolve problems
    • Provide support for DISA disaster recovery efforts (real or simulated)
    • Properly handle documents according to according to DoD and DISA Instructions, Policies and Directives
    • Serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all coalition customers and users to report incident/problem.
    • Verify with customer that service has been restored, upon resolution of all critical and major customer-initiated tickets or customer complaints

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Security + certification required
    • Deep understanding of MS Windows and Linux operating environments including the system/application registry, MS Active Directory, Internet Information Service (IIS), Domain Name Services (DNS)
    • Experience installing Secure Web Access, VSphere, and remote desktop protocol
