  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer I to support the JFHQ-DODIN J34 Operations Center portfolio. This tasking will provide professional services tailored for Full Operational Capability (FOC) within J34 Fusion, Countermeasure and Vulnerability sections, supported at DISA and in their Labs at Ft. Meade. The Systems Engineer I will be responsible for analyzing local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges and other devices.

    Responsibilities

      • Create Trend Analysis Reports in support of the J34 mission of tracking trends in tactical incident reporting to coalesce a broader combined operational picture of DODIN threats and mitigation strategies
      • Access, modify, and have Level II expertise with JIMS, CSAAC analysis database, and other reporting resources (i.e., ArcSight and other SIEM capabilities like Splunk, SourceFire Defense Center, Silk) to provide trending data for immediate to short-term cyber incident trends across the DODIN
      • Analyze operational reporting from cyber organizations; prepare Situational Awareness and Operational Update Briefings for JFHQ-DODIN staff and leadership on a daily basis
      • Participate in command exercises (estimated 4 per year) and provide feedback in after action reports
      • Produce statistics-based status updates outlining IAP tool mitigations and its effectiveness; brief updates at recurring intervals, at a minimum weekly
      • Develop a Countermeasures SOP detailing the process for identifying the problem(s) and multiple solutions, calculating return on investment, prioritizing recommendations, gaining approval, implementing and assessing countermeasure for the DODIN

     

     

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Security+
    • Certified Ethical Hacker

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional
    • Ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating effective communication skills with JFHQ-DODIN staff and external organizations.
    • Familiarity with Department of Defense security requirements.
    • Experience working in a Cyber Security environment similar in size (or larger) and scope to this award
    • Strong working knowledge of large, complex Information Technology environments
    • Exceptions may be made for specific individuals with specialized knowledge or skills in certain circumstances at the discretion of the Government
