    Experience

    • Skill to repair, modify, and troubleshoot major environmental control systems and sub-systems such as air conditioning, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, pneumatic, electric, and temperature controllers.
    • Skill in recognizing and correcting malfunctions in the refrigeration circuit in chemical chiller unit, and in utilizing psychometrics chart used in heating, cooling, dehumidification and reheating of air for environmental control.
    • Knowledge of electricity, pneumatics and their interface with each other as applied to control of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
    • Skill and knowledge to perform field adjustments and calibration to control systems. Uses schematics, drawings, blueprints, manufacturer specifications, and technical manuals.
    • Knowledge of and skill in using a variety of test equipment such as volt/ohm/amp meter, high vacuum pumps, volt and amp recorders, thermocouple vacuum gauge, u-tube manometer, electronic high vacuum gauge, sling psychrometers, electronic leak detectors, air flow manometers, and other tools of the trade.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a civilian government driver’s permit.
    • Skill in using Microsoft Office, and MCSC VIPER system.
  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to support a USMC program located at MCB Quantico, VA.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Independently performs maintenance used at the journeyman level of two occupations. The job was established primarily to perform a combination of maintenance, clearance, etc.)Painting: Alone or as a member of a group, performs the more simple tasks of the painting trade. According to specific directions, prepares surfaces by scraping and sanding old joints. Applies premixed latex and oil based paint by using brushes, rollers, and occasionally spray guns. Coating materials are prepared according to specific directions and are applied to insure that surfaces are fully coated, protected, and free from drips and runs. 20%.

     

    • Performs the full range of work involved in major repairs, overhaul, maintenance, grounds and troubleshooting on interrelated environment control systems, composed of individual subsystems, i.e., air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, electrical systems, electronic systems, and Plumbing: Assists higher graded workers in clearing clogged drains. Assists in repairing plumbing fixtures by holding pipe during assembly, treading pipes, and cutting, bending, and testing for leaks. Make normal plumbing checks, bleeding lines, and repairs. Repairs are accomplished by removing, cleaning, replacing, packing, and sealing defective parts of utility, supply, and disposal systems. 20%

     

    • Position performs a variety of tasks involved in the repair of shelters, containers and related structures, fixtures, and utilities associated Cement Finishing and Masonry: Assists or works alone in the installation and repair of chipped and damaged steps, walkways, or walls. Assists higher level workers in the fabrication of forms. Installs forms, mixes cement, shovels in to form and smooth finishes. Performs minor patchwork jobs and the less complex jobs where appearance is not of great importance. 20%

     

    • Repairs and/or replaces workstation frame, body structural members, surfaces, sub-surfaces, and gussets; applies workstation type modifications, shrinks stretched metal, and assures proper fit and adjustment. Cuts and fabricates workstation panels from aluminum or steel. Repairs metal and wood floors, walls and ceilings using a variety of material and fasteners such as wood, insulation, linoleum, epoxy, adhesive, rivets, bolts, inserts and sealant to secure and seal. 20%

     

    • Performs other duties as assigned. (Snow and Ice Removal, debris clearance, etc.) Outdoors in all types of weather conditions. During the winter season, incumbent is subject to adverse conditions of snow and ice. Work assignments include Shovel/blow sidewalk, entranceways, parking lots and Main Street as early as possible with plow/sanding trucks. All workers and drivers will wear PPE gear during snow operation for safety reasons. 20%

    Qualifications

    • Requires skill in use of workstation working materials and equipment to cut/fit panels, apply workstation filler, and to grind, and sand surfaces to uniform contours. Employee must possess the ability to determine if assignment can be completed with established man-hour standards, and determine parts and material requirements. Requires the ability to interpret pertinent technical data, plan and lay out work and knowledge of shop math to develop patterns to fabricate wood and metal parts and components.

     

    • Operates a variety of snow removal equipment and fixed and power attachments such as snow blowers, snow plows, Front end loaders and spreaders used in cleaning snow from roadways and large paved areas. Operates vehicle, manipulates levers and controls to engage equipment. Performs operational maintenance, makes minor repairs and adjustments. Operates motor vehicle in performance of above duties; performs routine driver maintenance.
