    IPKeys Technologies is seeking a Big Data/Hadoop Engineer to support the Distributed Common Ground Station – Army (DCGS-A) Geospatial Intelligence (GeoINT) Division at the Army Geospatial Center (AGC) in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

    The AGC coordinates, integrates, and synchronizes Geospatial and GeoINT information requirements and standards across the Army, and certifies Army weapon systems and other capabilities enabled by the Army Geospatial Enterprise (AGE). In addition, AGC provides direct geospatial and GEOINT support to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) ASA (ALT), Mission Command and provides Geospatial and GEOINT data, products, and services to Warfighters. PM DCGS-A is the Army acquisition program office responsible for the development, deployment, and sustainment of the DCGS-A System. DCGS-A is the Army's primary system for dissemination of multi-sensor intelligence, mapping, and weather information to weapon system platforms and Warfighters.

    Responsibilities

    • The candidate shall provide initial software delivery implementation services. 
    • Administer and maintain a government approved Application lifecycle Management tool Engineering Support System (e.g. JIRA, Forge). 
    • The candidate shall, at government discretion, conduct a Contractor Integration Test (CIT) at the AGC Test Lab Facility.  This test, led by the contractor and observed by the AGC government test team, shall install, configure, optimize, integrate and validate the delivered software at the AGC Test Lab Facility. 
    • The candidate shall install the developed capability using the installation guide, configure the system on the hardware at the facility, optimize the performance of the Hadoop, Web Servers, Database, and LDAP (as appropriate), system components such as Network (LAN, Storage Area Networks, VPN Concentrators, Load balancers, etc.), Datastores (NetAPP, Hadoop/Accumulo or other big data storage, databases such as MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows, RedHat, CentOS, Solaris, HP-UX, MacOSX, etc.) Application Service Support (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Pentaho, Esri etc.) as indicated by the program; integrate it into the baseline set of capabilities it must interoperate with, and then validate that the system is working properly. 
    • Candidate provides enhanced big data analytics for geospatial data, plus additional key data benefits such as replication and synchronization of both geospatial file data and database information between instances of system nodes, including geographically dispersed locations as long as network connectivity exists.
    • The candidate shall validate and update all associated documentation in an effort to ensure the documentation is accurate and complete when used at the Enterprise implementation site.
