  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is seeking a Subject Matter Expert Lead to provide transport engineering support for all DOD and non-DOD interconnected communication infrastructures located world- wide. The candidate is expected to participate in regular meetings with internal program staff, teammates, and the government client on a frequent basis is expected to deliver client value for the Communications Engineering Division, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is responsible for maintaining and posturing the DOD Information Network (DODIN) transport infrastructure and capabilities. Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for working among a blended prime/subcontractor program team and developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

    Responsibilities

    The subject matter expert lead candidate shall: 

    • Support the IE5 testing process and test laboratory activities and equipment in support of DISN by developing test plans, configuring the test bed in the DISA Ft Meade lab facility, executing tests, and developing test reports detailing the results of tests 
    • Prepare implementation plans based on the results of testing and provide engineering support in the deployment of the proposed enhancements and modifications to the DISN.  Testing shall be accomplished to determine the feasibility of adding new equipment to the network, ensure the functionality and security of equipment, determine equipment configurations, and resolve operational issues 
    • Work both independently and with Government personnel to troubleshoot issues as well as conduct lab research to resolve technical problems and document product capabilities and limitations.  Testing shall include both functional and performance evaluations of hardware and software to meet certification requirements 
    • Work with vendors to develop and/or propose product enhancements to meet validated requirements and shall communicate with product engineers and manufacturing groups to resolve problems in the field 
    • Conduct analysis on project Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) based on test results

    • Development of test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines  
    • Network troubleshooting  
    • Technical planning and analysis, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses
