  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator to join our team at Army Intelligence Community (IC) in Stafford, VA.  Candidate will need to be knowledgeable with Red Hat. Support the Army IC customer at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies. Applies expertise to common user Army enterprise information systems and tactical endpoints, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures. The Sr. Systems Administrator will be instrumental in ensuring categorization of the Information System (IS), selection of the baseline security controls, implementation of security controls, assessment of security controls, authorization of IS, and continuous monitoring of the IS. Provides work direction and guidance to other personnel; ensures accuracy of the work of other personnel, operates under deadlines, able to work on multiple tasks.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate and maintain all production, test, and development systems.
    • Perform system administration activities to include account management, monitoring and management of system resources (CPU, memory, disk, etc), monitoring and auditing system logs, back-up and recovery, continuity of operations, security, managing operating systems, and storage management.
    • Test and install operating system, COTS, and GOTS upgrades and patches and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) in a timely manner consistent with security, information assurance, and established change control requirements.
    • Maintain classified Unix, Windows, Linux physical and virtual servers.
    • Maintain network hardware including routers, switches, encryption devices, and firewall devices.
    • Maintain GOTS (Government off the shelf) systems.

    Qualifications

    • Red Hat experience
    • Knowledge of VmWare vSphere and Windows Server 2008 R2.

    • Knowledge/experience with HTML, CSS, SQL, and PKI/PKE highly desirable.

    • Experience with OpenStack, virtualization, and software defined networks.

    • Basic understanding of networking (routing, switches, vLANs)

    • Experience scripting (MS Powershell, Linux shells).

    • Understanding of user account management principles with MS Active Directory.

    • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills and desire to learn.
