  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is seeking an Information Systems Security Specialist Lead to provide transport engineering support for all DOD and non-DOD interconnected communication infrastructures located world- wide. The candidate is expected to participate in regular meetings with internal program staff, teammates, and the government client on a frequent basis is expected to deliver client value for the Communications Engineering Division, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is responsible for maintaining and posturing the DOD Information Network (DODIN) transport infrastructure and capabilities. Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for working among a blended prime/subcontractor program team and developing and maintaining strong client relationships. 

    Responsibilities

    The information systems security specialist lead shall support defining requirements, establishing a framework, and evolving the SDN architecture.  

    The candidate shall organize bi-annual “product strategy meetings” with IE and the product vendors to discuss vendors’ product direction and roadmap. 

     

    The candidate shall support the engineering evolution of the SDN to include:  

      • Participating in stakeholder meetings and providing meeting minutes
      • Documenting identified limitations, shortfalls, or problem sets with the current, quality of service, service level agreement (SLA), service delivery, situational awareness, cybersecurity, net-work functions, network administration, and processes
      • Translating limitations, shortfalls, and problem sets into requirements and developing traceability matrix
      • Developing SDN reference architecture and framework that can satisfy the requirements
      • Development of the Technical Architecture Description (TAD)
      • Development of the Engineering Design Specification (EDS)
      • Development of an evolution strategy document
      • Validating SDN components satisfy identified cybersecurity controls by documenting compliance, noncompliance, or non-applicability of all controls
      • Development of Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for all cybersecurity controls found that are noncompliant

    • Defining mitigation plan for all cybersecurity controls found noncompliant

    • Comparative product analysis to identify network components or technologies that are capable of meeting the requirements
    • Developing test strategy for validating performance, operations, function, and interoperability among diverse product vendors and capabilities
    • Developing test plans, performing test execution, and developing test reports for SDN components under test

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Requirements development and analysis 
    • System and Security Architecture development 
    • Network modeling, analysis, and planning 
    • Development of test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines  
    • Network troubleshooting  
    • Technical planning and analysis, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses  

    Experience

    • DoD and/or Government program experience preferred
