  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is seeking a Telecom Electronics Engineering Intermediate candidate to provide transport engineering support for all DOD and non-DOD interconnected communication infrastructures located world- wide. The candidate is expected to participate in regular meetings with internal program staff, teammates, and the government client on a frequent basis is expected to deliver client value for the Communications Engineering Division, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is responsible for maintaining and posturing the DOD Information Network (DODIN) transport infrastructure and capabilities. Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for working among a blended prime/subcontractor program team and developing and maintaining strong client relationships

    Responsibilities

    The telecom electronics engineering intermediate candidate shall plan, execute, and document the results of formal test events to certify equipment usage in the DISN.  Testing includes performance, interoperability, and security testing.  Equipment may be new to the DISN or updates to existing systems.  Testing will comply with JITC, NSA, and community best practices and procedures. 

    For cryptographic equipment, the candidate shall report the Common Criteria status of a solution in their evaluations.  ISO/IEC 15408 “Common Criteria” provides the standard.  The candidate shall report the NIST FIPS-140-2 and the required level certification status of a solution in their evaluations where required. The candidate shall report the status of the solution in accordance to Commercial National Security Algorithm (CNSA) Suite, Quantum Computing and CNSSP-15 or the most current NSA approved guidance. 

    Candidate must have experience authoring and updating such documentation as: 

    • Requirements analysis 
    • Test plans, procedures and reports 
    • Implementation plans 
    • Post action report/lessons learned 
    • Technical analysis white papers 
    • Engineering guidance documents 
    • Network Requirements Documentation 
    • Network Specifications Documentation 

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Requirements development and analysis 
    • System and Security Architecture development 
    • Network modeling, analysis, and planning 
    • Development of test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines  
    • Network troubleshooting  
    • Technical planning and analysis, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses  

    Experience

    • DoD and/or Government program experience preferred 
    • 8+ years of experience  

     

    Education

    • Bachelors Degree in Telecommunications Engineering   

    Security

    • Must possess an Active DoD Secret clearance and be eligible for Top Secret/SCI
