  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is seeking an Information Systems Security Specialist Lead to provide transport engineering support for all DOD and non-DOD interconnected communication infrastructures located world- wide. The candidate is expected to participate in regular meetings with internal program staff, teammates, and the government client on a frequent basis is expected to deliver client value for the Communications Engineering Division, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is responsible for maintaining and posturing the DOD Information Network (DODIN) transport infrastructure and capabilities. Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for working among a blended prime/subcontractor program team and developing and maintaining strong client relationships.  

    Responsibilities

    • Provide Tier-3 Engineering support in the analysis, design, development, systems integration testing, security, and performance assessments of the DISN infrastructure  
    • Assist in troubleshooting, analysis and resolution of problems discovered in the network and/or escalation from operations centers  
    • Provide onsite system level support for network design and engineering, testing, and trouble-shooting of products currently in use as part of the DISN architecture  
    • Coordinate among affected organizations and document the status of testing efforts including using trouble ticketing systems and providing daily reports as required   
    • Work with operational site support personnel and with technical support staff from the product vendor as needed.  Resolutions shall be documented for future reference 

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Requirements development and analysis 
    • System and Security Architecture development 
    • Network modeling, analysis, and planning 
    • Development of test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines  
    • Network troubleshooting  
    • Technical planning and analysis, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses  

    Experience

    • DoD and/or Government program experience preferred 
    • 5+ years’ experience in developing and implementing Intrusion Detective Systems and firewalls
