  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is seeking an Executive Information Technology Consultant to provide transport engineering support for all DOD and non-DOD interconnected communication infrastructures located world- wide. The candidate is expected to participate in regular meetings with internal program staff, teammates, and the government client on a frequent basis is expected to deliver client value for the Communications Engineering Division, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is responsible for maintaining and posturing the DOD Information Network (DODIN) transport infrastructure and capabilities. Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for working among a blended prime/subcontractor program team and developing and maintaining strong client relationships.  

    Responsibilities

    • Support the IE5 testing process and test laboratory activities and equipment in support of DISN 
    • Develop test plans, configure the test bed in the DISA Ft Meade lab facility, execute tests, and develop test reports detailing the results of tests 
    • Prepare implementation plans based on the results of testing and provide engineering support in the deployment of the proposed enhancements and modifications to the DISN.  Testing shall be accomplished to determine the feasibility of adding new equipment to the network, ensure the functionality and security of equipment, determine equipment configurations, and resolve operational issues 
    • Ability to work both independently and with Government personnel to troubleshoot issues as well as conduct lab research to resolve technical problems and document product capabilities and limitations.  Testing shall include both functional and performance evaluations of hardware and software to meet certification requirements.  
    • Work with vendors to develop and/or propose product enhancements to meet validated requirements and shall communicate with product engineers and manufacturing groups to resolve problems in the field 
    • Perform testing, integration, installation, configuration, repair and troubleshooting of all future, current, and legacy DISN solutions 
    • Support the development of tests plan and reports to ensure new equipment meet current/future DISN requirements. The reports shall address the support equipment interconnections, equipment configurations, troubleshooting and analysis, and operational issues. The test documentation shall include all network design configurations, results of test analysis, equipment/technology deficiencies and corrective actions necessary be comply with the DISN operational and cybersecurity requirements 
    • Provide subject matter technical expertise on all protocols and software/hardware configurations that are relevant to the DISN networks, as well as equipment limitations, applications, and life-cycle planning 
    • Provide analysis, assessment, configuration, and testing of DISN equipment (routers, switches, peripherals, and other ancillary equipment) to support the release of new operating system software releases and associated network services and features 
    • Provide technical troubleshooting expertise for the resolution of network problems occurring on the operational networks 
    • The candidate shall have experience with the development and updates of the following deliverables: 
    • Engineering lab diagrams  
    • Quality assurance plans  
    • Detailed summary of all test schedules  
    • Test Strategy Plan
