  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is seeking hardware/software specialist lead to provide transport hardware/software engineering support for all DOD and non-DOD interconnected communication infrastructures located world- wide. The candidate is expected to participate in regular meetings with internal program staff, teammates, and the government client on a frequent basis is expected to deliver client value for the Communications Engineering Division, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is responsible for maintaining and posturing the DOD Information Network (DODIN) transport infrastructure and capabilities. Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for working among a blended prime/subcontractor program team and developing and maintaining strong client relationships 

    Responsibilities

    The hardware/software specialist lead shall: 

    • Responsible for upgrading the curriculum and training material to reflect the latest changes made to the SDB-MT software suite 
    • Install and maintain the unclassified SDB-MT/SDB software suite; manage users’ accounts; provide user support and participate in work meetings whenever necessary 
    • Provide training to small groups of users (usually no more than five participants) at the DISA facility at Fort Meade, and as a Government OPTION, at the COCOMs. Training duration may range from one to 3 days per session 
    • The candidate should have demonstrated knowledge in authoring and updating the following documentation relative to this job: 
    • Software Updates 
    • Technical Reports  
    • Training modules 

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Requirements development and analysis 
    • System and Security Architecture development 
    • Network modeling, analysis, and planning 
    • Development of test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines  
    • Network troubleshooting  
    • Technical planning and analysis, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses  

    Experience

    • A minimum of 8 years related experience in multiple disciplines of the information systems and technology fields 
    • Previous SATCOM operations experience 
    • DoD and/or Government program experience preferred
