  • Overview

    IPKeys Technologies is seeking a Data Communications Manager to provide transport engineering support for all DOD and non-DOD interconnected communication infrastructures located world- wide. The candidate is expected to participate in regular meetings with internal program staff, teammates, and the government client on a frequent basis is expected to deliver client value for the Communications Engineering Division, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is responsible for maintaining and posturing the DOD Information Network (DODIN) transport infrastructure and capabilities. Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for working among a blended prime/subcontractor program team and developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

    Responsibilities

    The data communications manager candidate shall: 

    • Responsible for entering and maintaining accurate requirements, maintaining and upgrading the JCDSC software products, and running the client’s helpdesk ticketing system activities 
    •  
    • Perform Tier III system administration duties associated and ensure that all those sites remain fully supported, operational, and reliable 
    •  
    • Acquire and install all the hardware, software, and related supplies deemed necessary to upkeep the sites 
    •  
    • Perform procedures necessary to administer user accounts in accordance with established policies and procedures, managing the unclassified ticket management system and, whenever necessary, implement measures to correct inefficiencies encountered 
    •  
    • Provide day-to-day management of the client’s Configuration Management (CM) function by providing support to the client’s JCDSC Anomaly Tracking Utility, JCDSC software source code, documentation versioning, configuration item control, Configuration Control Board (CCB) action item tracking, CCB Decision Memorandum (DM) coordination and tracking, and management of the CCB 
    •  
    • Maintain the client’s CM library, process all CCB paperwork, process and track all Software Anomaly Reports, dis-tribute software releases and documentation as directed by the Government, and maintain an inventory of all the assets assigned to the program 

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Requirements development and analysis 
    • Computer Network Architecture: Multi-Tier Architecture Design and Implementation 
    • System Architecture development 
    • Network modeling, analysis, and planning 
    • Development of test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines  
    • Technical planning and analysis 

    Experience

    • Previous SATCOM operations experience 
    • DoD and/or Government program experience preferred
