Overview

IPKeys Technologies is seeking a Geospatial Systems Analyst to support the Distributed Common Ground Station – Army (DCGS-A) Geospatial Intelligence (GeoINT) Division at the Army Geospatial Center (AGC) in Alexandria, VA.

The AGC coordinates, integrates, and synchronizes Geospatial and GeoINT information requirements and standards across the Army, and certifies Army weapon systems and other capabilities enabled by the Army Geospatial Enterprise (AGE). In addition, AGC provides direct geospatial and GEOINT support to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) ASA (ALT), Mission Command and provides Geospatial and GEOINT data, products, and services to Warfighters. PM DCGS-A is the Army acquisition program office responsible for the development, deployment, and sustainment of the DCGS-A System. DCGS-A is the Army's primary system for dissemination of multi-sensor intelligence, mapping, and weather information to weapon system platforms and Warfighters.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly reports, situational reports (Sit Reps), executive summaries (EXSUMS), Items of importance’s (IOI’s), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and monthly status report (MSR)
  • Utilize emerging GIS technologies and a variety of computer systems, software, and procedures to accomplish assignments in the most economical manner.
  • Provide support input and quality control on all deliverables (monthly status reports, scientific and technical information report).
  • Aide in research, analysis, recommendations and development of all deliverables to advance the Defense Systems (DS) associated scientific and technical information (STI).
  • Plans, coordinates, and develops digital GIS schemas, layers and databases, in the areas of topographic and boundary land surveying, and resource management utilizing state-of-the-art methods, practices, techniques, and equipment.
  • Develops geospatial databases and verify the information is correctly linked to proper mapping elements so that analyses of the information can be performed, displayed, and output to create final products.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experienced with ESRI products (ArcGIS 10.x and ArcGIS Enterprise)
  • Knowledge of geospatial data formats and standards
  • Remote Sensing Software knowledge is a plus (ENVI, SOCET GXP)
  • Ability to pick up Army acronyms and structure
