Experience
  • Must be a technical hands-on engineer able to demonstrate 8+ years of experience performing highly technical engineering and administration activities in an operational environment.

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2012R2
  • Linux RHEL 5 and RHEL 6
  • VMWare vSphere 5.x, 6.x, NSX, Update Manager, vDP, vRA, vRO, vCAC, vCenter Server

Overview

IPKeys Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineer with engineering, administration, and service delivery experience to work with a team providing Lab as a Service (LaaS) capabilities. The environment supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Cyber Situational Awareness, Analytics and Security portfolios in DISA’s Mission Assurance Consolidated Development Lab (MACDL) at Ft. Meade.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and evolution of the LaaS capabilities to include technology infusions and industry standard operations and maintenance (O&M). O&M includes requirements for performing software and hardware updates, upgrades, firmware changes.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining development and improvement of process and procedures documentation and execution.
  • Maintain and evolve implementation, configuration, deployment and ongoing support of the VMware vSphere 6.x server infrastructure hosting enterprise applications and all subcomponents (e.g. NSX, vCAC, vRA, vRO, Update Manager, Single Sign-on, vDP, etc.).
  • Develop technical and operations standards, procedures, technical documentation and metrics related to operations (availability, capacity, performance, etc.).
  • Manage compliance and further hardening of systems as required as part of an Authority to Operate (ATO) under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Participate in regular meetings with the engineering teams of programs supported.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record setting up and administering environments in enterprise setting
  • Proficient technical skills in various editions of ESX/vSphere platforms (e.g. 5.x and 6.x).
  • Proficient level of ability/understanding to administer Windows and Linux platforms, domains, DNS, networking, auditing, and monitoring.
  • High level of ability/understanding for administering SQL Server databases.
  • Strong organizational, Innovative, verbal, and written communication skills.
