Overview

IPKeys Technologies is seeking a Helpdesk Specialist - Senior to support the Joint Staff Support Center (JSSC) at the Pentagon.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to and diagnoses UNIX/LINUX problems through discussion with users.
  • Ensures a timely process through which problems are controlled.
  • Provides support to end users on UNIX/LINUX issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves UNIX/LINUX technical problems.
  • Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for UNIX/LINUX technical support.
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Interact with network services, Tier 2/3 staff, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem. Deploy to alternate site for exercises and real-world events.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Experience

  • 3 - 5 years of providing support with a diverse set of responsibilities.
