Overview

IPKeys Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to provide full lifecycle software development support for the evolution of the software capability SATCOM Database Management Tool (SDB-MT), and enhance the capability consistent with validated requirements. The SDB-MT is a web-based application that allows the submission and tracking of satellite access requests.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will provide support to a diverse range of validated requirements. The candidate shall assist in the creation and management of software systems engineering and integration artifacts. The candidate shall incorporate systems requirements and document technical and performance baselines.
  • Specifically, the candidate shall provide full lifecycle software development support for the evolution of the software capability SATCOM Database Management Tool (SDB-MT). The tool tracks and maintains satellite access requests from creation to acceptance as a requirement
  • The candidate will participate in Department of Defense working groups to resolve technical issues surfacing from the integration of new capabilities into the tool. The candidate shall provide developmental and technical support and expertise to maximize utility and efficiency of the product. 
  • The candidate shall work with configuration management personnel to optimize the implementation processes of software and documentation, database support and participation in any Configuration Control Board or other governing body.
  • The candidate shall assist the Government in acquisition of relevant certifications and accreditations, including information assurance (IA).
  • The candidate shall assist in the development of a SDB-MT Road Map quarterly and submit recommended changes in accordance with decisions from the configuration control process.
  • When required, the candidate shall travel with government personnel to attend engineering Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs), support government project leads at internal/external project management meetings, develop briefing slides for Senior Leadership/project leads, develop white papers and support the development of related engineering studies.

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience in software engineering
  • Hands-on experience in designing interactive web applications
  • Ability to develop software in C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, and Visual Basic
  • Mastery in software engineering tools
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications
  • Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes
